Hub 3 keeps rebooting

Hi all,

Got a Hub 3 last week, and it works well other than the fact it keeps rebooting. Upon reboot, it'll flash the light green for a bit ("updating", as it were), but I'm pretty sure it's too frequent to actually be updating. Today I had two reboots, spaced ~3 hours apart.

For the 24 channels in Downstream, I get a "Power(dBmV)" value scatter between 3 and 9, with SNR (dB) of 38-40. I'm not sure if this is at all relevant.

Also, there doesn't appear to be any user-accessible log I can see for reboot reasons.

Re: Hub 3 keeps rebooting

Please post your full stats and network log. The upstream data can be particularly revealing for problems.

Here's the super weird part - I run grafana on a machine I have on this network (I have IPv4 port forwarding pointed at it), and - this sounds incredibly unlikely - but it appears that accessing grafana causes the router to reboot. It sounds pretty crazy, as the connection is over HTTPS and Grafana has no business even talking to the router, but these "critical; broadcast maintenance requests" have me suspecting that Grafana is triggering a router reboot. Is that even possible?

Re: Hub 3 keeps rebooting

Tried again this morning, and lo and behold - connecting to Grafana causes the router to restart again. I believe that the relevant log message that is shown is "Cable Modem Reboot - due to power reset" (at Unix Epoch, 1970-01-01) and that the following messages are just the router going back online.

While testing, I found that this happens not just with Grafana, but also with Organizr (a tabbed display for the various things I run on my system) that I have made available, see below.

Some more details about my setup:

I have a Linux machine running on 192.168.0.10 internally, running a reverse proxy (traefik) on ports 80 (for local access) and https on port 8111 (for remote access). Port 8111 is externally visible as port 443, and I have a dynamic DNS domain hooked up to my external IPv4 address; let's call this domain somedomain.com.

Grafana is accessible either by going to http://192.168.0.10/grafana (redirected by traefik, no https) or by going to https://somedomain.com/grafana (also redirected by traefik on port 8111, with https). The https connection is protected by HTTP Basic Auth. Similarly, going to http://192.168.0.10/ or https://somedomain.com/ gets to Organizr.

When accessing these services through the external IP address (over port 8111, using https), after about 5MB of transfer, the router reboots. I did not have this issue with my previous router (I believe it was a Technicolor TC7200). I don't seem to have any other high-bandwidth issues, e.g. netflix streaming works just fine.

Any advice?

Re: Hub 3 keeps rebooting

OK, I'm closing this thread in favor of this one, with a better title and a more precise description of the problem:
