Hub 3 and modem mode

Hi There,

I have tried several times tonight to get my router in modem mode, it looks like it is doing it as I get the magenta light and the two green arrows saying that I have internet access but after about 1/2 minutes the two green arrows disappear. I have rebooted several times and still the same.

How can I resolve this?

John.

The arrows are supposed to disappear, the magenta light is all that is shown in modem mode

Re: Hub 3 and modem mode

What router are you trying to get working?

You may have to power off the hub in modem mode for 2mins to allow a MAC change.

Re: Hub 3 and modem mode

Go into modem mode, get magenta LED, turn off Hub3.

Fully initialise your own router, then plug it into hub.

Power up Hub3. Should now have new IP address.

Re: Hub 3 and modem mode

I seem to be getting an external IP address but none of my devices can get to the internet. I will investigate the router it is a Buffalo Airstation WZR-1750DHP

Re: Hub 3 and modem mode

With the hub in modem mode connect a single device to it and check that you've got internet. Disconnect that device and connect the Buffalo by its WAN port to the hub.

Re: Hub 3 and modem mode

Guys,

Resolved it by resetting the router to factory defaults. Sorry for the late update.
