Hub 3 TP-LINK and CCTV connection

Hi there,

I've just switched from BT to Virgin and my CCTV is now offline.

I've got a Hub 3 which is connected to a TP-Link AV1200 3-Port Gigabit Passthrough Powerline via ethernet.

My Hik-Vision DVR is connected by ethernet to another TP Link which is paired with the first.  Both TP-Links are in the same room.

I access the DVR via the Hik Connect app on my iPhone but since switching over to Virgin, all my cameras are showing as offline irrespective of whether I am on Wi Fi or 4G.

Please help!

Assuming ...

1) the Cameras & DVR use DHCP to gain an IP address
2) that they have all been restarted so as to have a IP address allocated from the Hub 3  ( i.e. they are not still on the BT Hub's IPs )

Login to the Hub 3's menus and look at the "Connected devices" - can you see the Cameras & the DVR on the list ?

look to get a better router with 1Gb ports and put hub in modem mode.

So you’re saying that the virgin hub 3 is inferior to the BT smart hub?

everything worked fine until I switched to Virgin…

So I need to turn the DVR off and on again? Sorry, I am not technical when it comes to stuff like this

Thank you so much!  I powercycled the CCTV and it's working again!

Yes due to cost cutting and not much testing.
