Hub 3.0 password

Hi I'm trying to link the Virgin Media Connect app to my hub 3.0. the app keeps saying the password in not correct.

All I have changed on the hub is the SSID name and Password

I've reset the hub. then tried to link to the app

I've tried scanning the hub. It picks up the password then says its incorrect.

I've tried manually entering the password, that got the same result.

I then changed the SSID and Password back to what I'd renamed to originally and got the same results

I've tried on IOS and Andriod.

HELP!!!

I think you should be using the password you use to login to My Virgin Media.

I have the same problem, on a Samsung S8, but the app won't even "see" the label on the Hub 3.0 and won't accept the manual input of the passcode number. Spent 30+ minutes on phone to VM with 3 different people, have posted on here and had replies from VM, and have tried to use messaging within app. All no good. It's been a week now and VM can't or won't help. I've gone from an advocate for VM to the opposite. Latest messages I sent on app haven't even been read. I'm glad someone else has similar problem to me.

Hang on a minute.  I don't think VM allow you to connect to your own hub's WiFi Hotspot only to neighbours and public hotspots.

This is about trying to connect the new VM Connect app to the customer's Hub 3.0 - this is the first step in setting up the app (after logging in with VM username and password).

Hi 

the 8 digit code that is on the bottom of router. I've scanned it and entered manually.  I haven't entered the WiFi Password

That's the one.

 

By resetting the hub do you mean you've done a pinhole reset of the hub or just rebooted it?

Hi

I did a pinhole reset. I left the pin in for about a minute. It reset the router back to the original VM ssid and password
