I've setup an eero system and it seems good but won't play ball for more than a few hours with the Hub 3 when it is modem mode.
It works fine leaving the Hub 3 in router mode but obviously having the 2 WiFi networks broadcasting from virtually the same spot is both pointless and could cause interference with the eero network.
Is it possible to turn off the WiFi on the Hub 3 whilst staying in Router mode?
Thanks

Hi @Londoner2021.
Welcome to our community forums and thank you for your first posts.
In regards to disabling your WIFI, when you turn it off as seen here https://www.virginmedia.com/help/virgin-media-hub-turn-off-wireless do the changes revert automatically? How long does it take before the WIFI is enabled?
Thanks,

Thanks,
this has been posted about a few times - it was/is supposedly under investigation i think - theres a thread where the OP says it comes back on in 15 mins and shows as on - my experience is that if i turn it off it continues to show as off even though i can access wifi after 10 or 15 minutes
so it would seem to be a bug in the new firmware - maybe you could dig a little and get an answer - or not

Hi @Akua_A
thanks for reply. It reverts to wifi activated quickly, if I leave the hub 3 access page open in the browser it actives once the browser times out the login. If I click on the "Home" tab of the settings page it reverts to activated immediately.

AFAIK that dlink is an access point only, so can’t be used as a router?
