How to open port 53 on SH3

Hi

How can I open port 53 ?( it's saying it's reserved )

I would like to open dns.

 Sorry I meant port forward it . I need it  for no-ip.

Ok are you using the Dynamic DNS Update Client ? As you don't need port 53 forwarded for that just a normal DNS lookup.

If your using a router with no-ip support you need to use modem mode.

I could really use this functionality too as using ISPConfig on a home server and utilising DNS.

For now I'm just port forwarding port 80 but need 53 udp/tcp

I may try and use the DMZ functionality to see if that works but before I do I need to make sure the LINUX firewall is all secured.
