HUB 3 NETWORK LOG

The network status-"network  log" on my hub 3 is always out of date, currently by 5 days, it does not show recent events even if I refresh, such a lan login success and therefore if the network log is not up to date it can not be used for checking "current real time status" to check any issues.

Does this simply mean there are no issues such as no ranging response etc, so nothing to report from 21/7/20201 till today 26/7/2021, I log into the hub most days so it should record the lan login's?

The log starts 12/7/2021 when I did a pin reset on the hub after connection issues and the hub has worked fine since then, but I have noticed the network log only updates occasionally, refresh has no effect and the last log entry is 21/7/2021 -lan login success. Is the data stored on the hub or on the virgin server.?

Re: HUB 3 NETWORK LOG

I think your best option is a pin-hole reset to see if this fixes it. Be aware, a pin-hole reset will lose any previous entered setting to the hub, you will have to re-enter them again.

Re: HUB 3 NETWORK LOG

Thanks.

Recent findings.

I did a pin reset and the logs updated on 26/7/28, but today 27/7/2021 hub shows no logs if I refresh, perhaps there is a time delay for the logs.

I keep getting locked out of the settings page and have to reboot the hub, happens a lot, it gets easily confused if different laptops are used, different browsers or an ethernet cable is plugged in, often lock or logs out and can not get back into settings without a hub reboot (power off). However I found having an ethernet connection is a big advantage while making wifi changes as the connection  is not lost during changes, and can have ethernet and wifi both connected at the same time. My HP printer however does not work on wireless even though my  HP printer says ready and connected so I have to use a usb cable. I have saved my setings to a usb flash drive so I can recover them -software load and saves a lot of time re-setting each time.

To avoid being "locked out" of settings, use the same device and same browser each time and always log out of the settings page, unless it has already timed out which it does after a approx 10 minutes or so. If locked out it will say settings page is being used by someone else, but once rebooted the password should then work, I have had the password fail in which case check it is typed correctly, and if access is impossible then the hub needs a pin reset, I did that last week when locked out with incorrect password and kept getting a blue screen.

I also noticed if using the 5g wifi, and switch off 2,4g wifi it also disables the guest channel wifi (which must also be 2.4g) so to use the guest channel the 2,4g wifi has to be on
