Ethernet connection = 94 Mbs download (j have tried 2 or 3 ports but makes no difference)
Wi fi connection (VM ) = 172 Mbs download (I am working directly beside router)
Wi-fi connection using Nova Tenda mesh (Ethernet connection to Router) = 221 Mbs download
Was using wifi connection for a MS Teams call this morning and dropped off video three times
I presumed direct ethernet to router should be most reliable and also be of equivalent or better speed than wifi?
NB - just been on phone awaiting response from Virgin techical support- waited 58 minutes and then phone call has just been ended by Virghin with no response
Anty help appreciated

“94Mbps sounds like you're either using a CAT5 cable” or a faulty cable. You only need 2 of the 4 pairs for 100M, anything higher need all 4 pairs. Try another cable.

Hi @bromleypete,
Thank you for your post and welcome to our community forums. We're here to help.
I'm so sorry to hear you've had some connection speed issues recently. Your wired connection should certainly be faster than a wireless/Wi-Fi connection, so it is possible that your Ethernet cable is faulty. Have you been able to try a different one to see if that helps at all?
Thanks,
