Hi there.
Recently I have been having some packet loss along with a largely fluctuating latency, along with the TV artifacting every so often which is quite annoying.
I never get fully disconnected but I can tell when it hits playing a game.
Below are my download and upload stats from the router after a reboot for 20 mins.
Any help would be appreciated

Hi Tizzletom,
Thanks for updating us on your engineer visit, glad to hear you got a new Superhub 3.
That's interesting about the packet loss you're getting in modem mode - I know this is really obvious, but have you checked all the cables and ports on your new superhub 3 are tightly connected?

Yeah absolutely. I've replaced alot of the cables too just to make sure. Let me change it back into modem mode again and I'll let you know how it looks this time tomorrow

Okay, thanks for letting me know Tizzletom.
Please keep us updated tomorrow on how it's working after you change your Hub back into modem mode 🙂

Hi there sorry I forgot to come back to you here.
I put the router back into modem mode last night and set up my SamKnows Whitebox also to monitor and its already reported more packet loss than I got on Friday when it was in router mode.
To also further rule out problems with my router I have the Virgin router plugged into the samknows box which is then hosting my normal Nighthawk router.
Ill let you know the results in the next couple of days.

Yeah so it seems here that for some reason the Virgin router in modem mode gets worse packet loss than it does in router mode. Any idea why?

Hi @Tizzletom
Thanks for coming back to us. Two of your upstream channels are flagging as out of spec, which needs an engineer visit.
I've booked in the first available slot here
Let me know how the visit goes
Kind regards,

Thanks for booking that in.
Cause I'm working later I had to move the slot to Saturday afternoon.
Any idea what's going on today as its cutting out for a minute or so every hour today?

If you are still getting any PostRS errors, then there is still noise on the circuit, which could lead to packet loss. Just keep an eye on the power levels, DS should be -6 to +10 and US between 34 and 51. There should ideally be zero PostRS errors.
As for Modem mode v's Router mode, as you get a different WAN IP address for each mode, it may be you also get different routes assigned. This may be a factor in the packet loss?

So after looking at this I wonder why there's an engineer being sent out for Upstream powerlevels being out of spec.
They are all sitting at 50 on Upstream
-1 on Downstream. The other engineers that came out said the powerlevels were fine.
Snr is 38
I get quite a few t3 timeouts and a few postrs errors
