Hi I’m using a Wi-Fi pod in my study plugged and connecting to my Mac via ethernet . I appear to get signal drop outs every 5-10 minutes which I’ve tracked using a monitoring tool. The signal appears strong

The WiFi Pod is a wireless repeater, it should be located half way between the VM Hub and the study.

Thanks for the reply . Even if this is an Ethernet connection ?

So at present you have :-
VM Hub ------ WiFi ------> VM Pod --- network cable ---> MAC
That is identical to having no Pod and working like this:-
VM Hub ------ WiFi ------> MAC
The Pod is gaining you nothing due to its location close to the MAC.

ok
VM Hub ------ ehternet port on Pod ------> MAC doesn’t exist as config then?
it’s working with the wi fi turned odd on the Mac !
thanks

off not odd !

My understanding is
1) the VM Pods connect over WiFi to the VM Hub forming a WiFi mesh.
2) the VM Pods network port is for devices that do not have internal WiFi E.g. a network switch or desktop computer.

Hi @njewhu,
Thank you for your posts and welcome to our community forums. We're here to help.
I'm very sorry to hear that you're having some issues with a Wi-Fi Pod. To confirm, you have a device connected to the Wi-Fi Pod via an Ethernet cable but you are experiencing intermittent drops in connection, is that correct?
Thanks,

Yes that’s correct

Thanks for the reply @njewhu on the forums page.👋🏼
I'm sorry to hear about the issues with the drops in the Wi-Fi pod.
May I ask if this issue happens when the pod is wired to a different device or just this device only?
Let us know.
Kind regards,
Ilyas.
