Connection error

Hi 

we are having issues while watching catch up Chanel through the fire stick it keeps coming up that there is a connection error but then will start playing the program again just wondering if anyone else has issues like this .Happens when no one else in house using WiFi.

Problem sorter

Try doing some wifi housekeeping;

  • How far is the fire stick/TV from the hub?
  • Try using a free wifi analyser app - does that show anything?  Neighbours on same channels?
  • Are you using 5GHz or 2.4GHz?  See here  by default the hub generally uses both, with the same name - rename them if necessary
  • Try changing channels.
  • Make sure drivers and updates all up to date on all your devices.
  • Any sources of interference nearby - microwave, cordless phone, mobile etc. ?

I know a bit about Wi-Fi, Telecoms, and TV as I used to do it for a living but I'm not perfect so don't beat me up... If you make things you make mistakes!

You would not be able to watch out Catch Up service via a firestick. 

This would either need to be via your Virgin TV box or the app.
