I have been a Virgin customer for 2 weeks and have an issue that is bugging me. I just can't get the Samsung M2070 laser multifunction printer to connect wirelessly. The (5 year old) printer is fine, it worked with BT, but I am struggling.
I have got to the point where I have plugged the printer lead into my computer and will forget the wireless connection. Once I have run out the current toner I could probably upgrade the printer as they are pretty cheap anyway.
My problem is - have I missed something with the set-up of the Virgin wifi and the printer connection that could be easily solved meaning that I don't have to replace the printer?
Or, if I buy a new printer, is there one that is more likely to be compatible so that I don't just buy a new one and end up with the same problem?
A lot of old WiFi printers do not like the 2.4 & 5 GHz bands being on the same SSID name. You need to logon to the hubs settings and give them different names like xxx-2 and xxx-5. Then connect the printer to the xxx-2 SSID.
