Cleanbrowsing DNS IP routing

Hi, I use the free Cleanbrowsing family filter DNS IPs for the devices my kid uses. (185.228.168.168 & 185.228.169.168)

For the last few weeks one of the IP addresses has a significantly higher ping response time. Below is the tracert to each of the IP addresses. You can see that the tracert to 185.228.169.168 looks like it is now routed via the States. The jump happens within servers that I guess are run by Cogent. Could this be due to a Virgin routing table issue, or definitely outside Virgin control?

Difficult to say, because getting information out of VM on internet traffic routing is near impossible, and there are sometimes peculiarities where VM do traffic routing with other Liberty Global businesses.  There's people who'd know, they are so well insulated from customers that they might as well live in a parallel universe.

You might want to try other family friendly DNS services and see if you get better results.
