Checkpoint VPN issues

Have there been any changes to the way VPN traffic is routed?

Over the past couple of weeks I have started to experience poor network performance whilst using Checkpoint VPN , only getting 1Mbps or less download  and 0.09 Mbps upload, but using Zscaler is OK 120Mbps + download 46 Mbps upload

1 GB connection

Modem only mode

using google and Cloudflare DNS

Web Safe is not enabled

It likely got to do with TCP and the hub as I think Checkpoint VPN uses TCP.

The Hub is in modem only mode, I will restet my router back to factory defaults to see if that helps

 

Factory reset of the Router (netgear r9000) made no difference.😓

I will try a direct router connection, when I get a chance.  But I don't think it is a router issue, I know of several people who are experiencing similar issue's, This morning both myself, in the Fylde area, and another person in the Stockton area are getting "could not reach our servers" from fast.com, then it will give a result of 30+ Mbps,  it's going up and down like a..........

Hey jk001d7182, thank you for reaching out and I am sorry you are having some connection issues.

I have taken a look from our side and I can't see any major issue at all, your levels are bob on.

Please can you try a direct connection if possible?

We can't guarantee our kit would work with any 3rd party equipment and when it does that it might not work 100%.

I'm getting much the same speed directly connected to the hub in modem-only mode. This morning however the light at the top of the hub 4 has changed to a constant/solid green

Here what might be the problem due the ack suppression in the hub VM made changes causing more problems for ack down the tunnel (which VM can't see) to be lost resulting in bad speed for the VPN.
