Got some smart bulbs & it says frequency needs to be 2.4 GHz - how do I check my frequency & change it if necessary ?
Thanks in advance 🤗🤗

If you've not changed the settings, then your Hub will be broadcasting both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wifi signals with the same network name, and devices choose which signal to connect to. So in theory you need to do nothing other than connect them to wifi as per makers instructions. Try that, if it works you need do nothing more.
Sometimes though, 2.4 GHz devices struggle when connected to VM hubs that are using the same name for both wifi signals. We don't know why, but it's a regular issue, yet it doesn't seem to affect third party wifi systems that use the same principle, and it seems to particularly affect "smart home" types of gear and wifi printers. What you'd experience if this affects your devices will be loss of wifi connection by the device concerned when most other wifi connections are good, and there's no problem with signal strength. If you have this problem, then you'll need to go into the Hub's settings, and disable all "intelligent wifi", automatic channel switching, and automatic optimisation settings, and then additionally rename the two network with different names that you can tell apart, for example LinFi5 and Linfi24. They can use the same password, and you can connect dual band devices (eg phones and tablets) to both signals, because those devices will automatically choose whichever signal is best.
If you have to make those changes, but you're worried you'll mess it up, you do always have a "get out of jail free" card of doing a pinhole reset of the hub, which will return all settings to the defaults. And then you can try again!
