Cannot get a hold of Virgin Media

Apologies in advance if this is the wrong place to ask this question.

I cannot find the Virgin Media virtual chat page. It just gives me a number of options that redirect me elsewhere, i.e. not useful at all.

I need them to cancel when my contract ends (I am a student that is about to move), otherwise they'll be charging me double what the usually do...

Any advice? Do I just call them during the hours they are avaliable? It might be a difficult since I'm doing a 9-5 (and have been regardless of Covid, i.e. exhausted!). It would be much easier if I was able to send a simple text. Thanks everyone

You can do it by post (It's in the Terms and Conditions of your contract with VM).

You can contact VM to report your problem using ...

Text service on 07533051809

150 from Virgin landline.

0345 454 1111 from any other UK  phone.

Or you can wait on here for one of the VM Staff to pick up the thread but this may take a few days.

Hi Deen9,

You could try the text messaging service.

Just send  a text with a description of cancel  to 07533 051809. Your message will go into a queue and a representative will respond to you as soon as possible. It may take a few days. 

You can also call  150 from your Virgin landline, or 0345 454 1111, options 1,1,4 and 4, but best to call at 8am to avoid call queues.

Or write to them to as per the terms and conditions. If writing send it by registered post.

Other peoples issues are just as important as yours. Threads are prioritised based on latest post.

The forum staff on here can't deal with contract matters.

The best way to cancel is to write to the address shown in your contract.

I have had exactly the same issue for 3/4 weeks now. 

Cannot get through to call centres, live chats not answered neither is text message service.

I have put in a complaint with all my evidence now to CISAS.

Seems like 100's are having the same issues

Yes. Virgin's customer service is worse than ever. It's deplorable and I can understand you wanting to leave. 

But if you just want to end your contract, why make it so hard for yourself with multiple calls and official complaints?  All you need to do is write a brief letter to the address in your contract. Job done.
