Can someone confirm if Virgin Routers support VPNs, as off Feb 2022?

So far, my understanding is : no.

Can someone in the know please confirm this?

It seems pretty baffling that Virgin Routers wouldn't allow for VPNs, given the record amount of work-from-home we've all been doing the past few years.

I understand there is a "fix" that involves using Modem Mode, but if it involves going out and buying a whole other device, I don't call that a fix!

Thank you in advance for any info or advice.

For the vast majority of circumstances VM hubs do support VPNs, there are a very, very small number of isolated problems, and they're likely similar in number to the problem rates you'd see with any ISP.

The wifi from VM hubs is mediocre though, and that's usually a bigger concern for WFH than VPN compatibility.  For some deals you can get free "pods" to extend the wifi reach and they're well worth trying.  If you have to pay to rent them (or want full control of wifi settings) then better to buy your own mesh or router.
