Re: Can not view cctv away from home network

Does the DVR have a fixed IP address of 192.168.0.12? And you now have a new WAN IP address, once you know it you should be able to get access in a way such as:

http(s)://<my WAN IP addess>:20460

Re: Can not view cctv away from home network

No it  has a ethernet conection between DVR and virgin hub And hub will only see DVR in DHCP mode not static

Cheers

Re: Can not view cctv away from home network

If you don't have a fixed IP address for the DVR the port forwarding for the DVR will fail if the DHCP server assigns a different IP address one day to the DVR or the same IP address to another device as 192.168.0.12 is within the hub 3.0's DHCP reservation range which starts from 192.168.0.10. So, what you can do is have the DVR's IP address to something like 192.168.0.8.

Re: Can not view cctv away from home network

Many problems with cctv with the hub so the only way to fix this is to get your own router with 1Gb ports and put the hub in modem mode.

ignoring the stupid advice above......
give your DVR a static LAN IP address
set up a port forward on the hub to point to the static IP of the DVR
