Cabling

Evening folks,

Came home the other day to find that my point of cable access in the street had been dug up and I had lost my service. Engineer visited the following day, checked my supply at the house and said I had a total loss and ordered a new cable to be installed. That was the sum total of his visit. To their credit, connex turned up within 3 hours and informed me that my neighbour was having Virgin Media installed and they were changing my point to a shared box and that was why it had been dug up. The connex  guy asked if the engineer had checked the main box in the street, which I was sure he had. The connex guy checked the box and found that when they had pulled the cable for my neighbours, they had pulled my connection apart. He reconnected it and my service was restored. I came home today to find that the neighbours cable has now been installed and is well buried and the double box tarmacked back in. All good apart from my cable is now exposed in a loop as it comes from the box, and now presents a trip hazard on the pavement. Grateful if someone could advise who would be best to speak to, other than going to the local council and reporting it to them as a health and safety compromise. Many thanks. Post another "bigger picture" photo showing where this tripping hazard is with regards to the public pavement.

It will need sorting if its a real hazard to others

Thanks John will do.

In all honesty you'd be quicker reporting it to the council, bad as they are,  they're still light years ahead of virgin media in terms of service.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention @Jeff0901 and sorry to see the trip hazard.

Check out the envelope in the top right hand corner and I'll take some details from you to have this resolved for you as soon as possible.

Thanks,
