Broadband is terrible

Hi. I got Virgin media a few months ago now. But since it was put in it has been really bad. Really slow speed a lot of the time and my devices keep randomly dropping off the WiFi. Its really getting on my nerves now. Has anyone else experienced this?

Firstly... are the issues only evident on wifi connections or do you see them at the same times on devices connected on ethernet cables? If you don't know, can you check to help diagnose whether it is just a wifi issue or it could be network connection related?

Do wifi devices work fine when sat close to the Hub and then drop off when further away from the Hub?

What Hub model is it and what are the various Hub lights showing/doing when this happens?

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 2 on WiFi) Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's & TP-Link Archer C64 WAP. On Volt 350Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

The only ethernet connection is my tivo box but it seems fine. The wifi errors occur when im close to the box or further away. Router is a hub 3.0 VMDG505/TG2492LG-VM

Thanks for your post @Gavste26, and a very warm welcome to you!

Sorry to hear of the issues you've been experiencing on the broadband services.

I've been able to run through a flow and have been advised of the following;

Our automated systems has identified a network issue over 24 hours which is affecting multiple customers in your area. This is likely to cause connectivity and performance issues. Our engineering teams have been automatically notified of the issue and will investigate and fix the issue as soon as possible.

Do please monitor this issue for the time being and come back to us if this continues to effect your services

Kindest regards,
