VM don't offer a 1.2Gbps service.

For Fast.com you must enable more parallel connections:

Personally I find https://proof.ovh.net/ to be the most consistent.

The 1 gig service, I thought it was 1.2.

Sometimes it can go really, fast.

Hi again @almark 

Check your network card settings are for 1Gig and not for 100MB

Also possibly try a different ethernet cable.

Again, thank you, that is helpful.

Personally I don't trust any speed test site and will always use this site. 

Download 2 10gb files at the same time and you'll be able to see your max speed by simply adding the transfer rates from both of the download boxes.

I only get 20MB/s on that site!
