Best WIFI setup

I have recently had 1 gig fibre installed and my current Orbi RBR50 does not seem to provide great wifi. I am getting around 400 MBs.

The Virgin engineer could not get the virgin hub to work in bridge mode. I am thinking the Orbi is not the best and looking to get a setup that will give a full wifi speed. To be honest, it's not about money, its about getting a getting wifi speed, as I use the network port on the satellites for PC, printers etc.  The ASUS ROG looks like a great big of kit but I would need extenders. At the moment, I have the hub and 3 satellites.

400mb/s for wifi is excellent. If you want faster you're better off using ethernet.

If you want excellent WiFi I should look at Ubiquiti/Unifi equipment. The

  • 5 GHz (4x4 MU-MIMO and OFDMA) band with a 4.8 Gbps throughput rate
  • 2.4 GHz (2x2 MU-MIMO and OFDMA) band with a 573.5 Mbps throughput rate
  • Operates at full 4x4 MIMO with 160 MHz bandwidth
  • 300+ concurrent client capacity
