Bad WiFi Coverage in New House

Heya!

I just moved house and took Virgin Media and it's SuperHub 2ac with me, it used to work pretty good in my old place, even though it had three floors!

My new place has two floors, the router is situated on the top floor, which has the kitchen, sitting room and such, the coverage is great up there, but as soon as I get to the lower floor, the WiFi is near completely unusable, my phone opts to disconnect and use data, it's so poor, and since all the bedrooms are there, that's kind of the main place it gets used.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Re: Bad WiFi Coverage in New House

You could run a wireless access point by Cat6 cable from the Hub to downstairs.

Does any of that apply to your case?

Re: Bad WiFi Coverage in New House

I'm not really sure, I feel like there's something!

I even have the router quite literally on the floor to try and help with the passthrough to the floor below, but even the room right beneath, has poor reception, almost the moment I start taking a mobile device downstairs, the signal degrades pretty quick and this is even a smaller house than I had previously.

How’s it going?  You cracked the house problem?

Not really, I'm not really sure what I can do to solve this exactly.
