Asus RT-AC1200G with Superhub 3 - WAN IP address dropping
I've finally decided to replace my superhub 3 with a 3rd party Asus RT-AC1200G+. Mainly for better wifi coverage and stability. So far so good on that front.
The issue I'm facing is that the WAN IP address on the Asus router seems to periodically drop off. It will be assigned a public IP (in my case 94.X.X.X) from the SH3 in modem mode, but intermittently the connection will drop and the WAN IP shows as a local 192.168.100.X address.
If I leave it alone, it will eventually pick up a public IP again. Rebooting the router doesn't seem to make any difference. Or the SH3 modem. I've left all of the WAN settings on default (DHCP) shown in the picture.
Re: Asus RT-AC1200G with Superhub 3 - WAN IP address dropping
Thanks. Looking at reboots at around 04:00, the SYNC and RCS messages suggest a possible problem in the downstream at that particular time. There is nothing in the power/noise levels snapshot that indicates a problem, though.
I hope that the VM bods when they get to this thread have the tools to examine what's happening in greater detail.
