Have you tried changing your DNS servers on the device?

What happens if you ping the VPN server by name or IP address?

Try running a traceroute (tracert in WIndows via the command prompt) to the name and then IP to see if there are any differences.

I am sorry to hear you are having some issues connecting to VPN. Apologies for the delayed response- can I ask if you managed to follow what @lotharmat suggested or if you are still having this problem?

 

Have you tried tethering from your Mobile to see if you get the same error when trying to connect?
