Help please, my Home Hub 3.0 keeps dropping the Ethernet, lights on Ethernet port lit, but no traffic, Wi-Fi still working ? Now got a smart home that is dumb ??????
Phoned Virgin Media, not much help, advised it is cable, swapped out with new Ethernet cable to Switch, up for 10-20min then stops throughput to Ethernet, if you unplug Ethernet and plug it back it all good for another 10min, some must have an answer..
Hi, I assume you've tried different ports on the Hub 3 to see if its might be just one port that is dodgy. Tried connecting it directly to a computer to see if the same happens, and trying to ping it when it does. Factory resetting the Hub.. assuming all those fail then probably a fault in the Hub, for which I'll leave you in the capable hands of VM staff...
Well I think I have the same problem. Ethernet drops out, tried on both Google and Edge initially thinking it was a problem with one of them. And it has only been happening since I received the new Hub 3. My wi-fi though seems to seize at the same, though I have yet to verify that properly. I even, on the advice of an IT guy, bought a new stack as he thought it was my hard drive on the way out. Will make for an interesting conversation with Virgin. By the look of the chain there are no obvious solutions?
