1gb down to 90mb ?!!

right as you can tell im not a happy customer reading up on previous posts that's similar to mine.

i have the 1.1gb connection everything has been working fine for weeks then all of a sudden im only getting 90mb and there seems to be a lot of dropouts with internet,
Especially when Gaming. my in-game latency will go from 35-45 to then all of a sudden 0  and nothing will work for at least a minute then im back and it repeats and speeds are dropped to 90mb , when im running an expensive setup that can easily handle the speed.

every time i either restart the modem or unplug the ethernet and replug it back in it will go back to full speed then after 5 mins it drops again to 90mb ??.

90 meg is typical of a bad lan cable or bad connection - reseat any cables and see if that helps - if it continues change any and all lan cables one at a time

it may be other things so post the levels from the hub

With the Hub in Router mode : https://www.samknows.com/realspeed/    test the speed to the Hub and then the speed abilities of your device.

The speed to the Hub should reflect your subscription rate, the speed to the computer or device varies due to WiFi & the device's abilities & software products.

Share the Upstream and Downstream bonded stats if you would like a hand with reviewing the figures.

Hello .
iv saw a few posts with similar experiences.
i have a high-end gaming/streaming pc & gaming laptop.
both were running fine on the 1gb service when I changed over . after a month or 2 later it's now capped itself at 400.

ran a test on speed test .net and even https://speedtest.samknows.com/

ilhan786_0-1674741167428.png

ilhan786_1-1674741181101.png

but when I run a speed test with the exact same cable on my series x and ps5 I get this result.

ilhan786_2-1674741273425.png

I even ordered a new cat7/8 cable.

double checked my driver updates. everything is up to date.

even ran a speed test on Virgin media website this was the result.

i even ran a Flush Dns to see if this would help but it doesn't.

Try  the following https://samknows.com/realspeed/  from your gaming laptop connected directly to the VM  hub via ethernet

Also try it from your gaming laptop in safe mode connected directly to the VM hub via ethernet

That speedtest shows the link to your hub and your device.

You should also post the hub stats with details from the Router Status page. So please  copy/paste 3 FULL sets of data onto here (not screenshots) – from the Downstream, Upstream, & Network Logs pages.

You should also set up a BQM monitor  at thinkbroadband.com - this will give you an insight into what is happening with the signal at the other side of the Hub, it will take a few hours to get any kind of trend showing although you can post the link straight away.

Instructions for posting BQM Link

Under your BQM graph are two links in red.

Click the lower link (Share Live Graph) then click generate.

Copy the text in the Direct Link box, beware, there may be more text than you can see.

On here click the Link icon (2 links chain to the left of the camera icon)

In the URL box paste the link you copied and then click OK.
