Hi,

How can I change the password on the admin hub?

It is asking for a user name, what should I be using to do this?

If you can now log into the router, you can change the admin password, process is something like this

(slightly old video but looks as if it is right)

The MAC filtering is not brilliantly reliable. To bypass the settings, your son need do no more than reset the router with a pinhole reset. You can look in the network logs to see if the router has been restarted.

The user name is the one you setup the first time you installed the Hub.  If you can't remember it, then you will need to do a factory reset and set the Hub up again from scratch.  Factory reset as below;

Remove any ethernet cables from the Hub and hold the pinhole reset switch for 60 seconds. Do NOT reboot the Hub, just let it do it's thing. Note you will need the passwords from the bottom of the Hub afterwards, so make sure they are legible.

I put the password in and it asked for a user name to which I have no clue!

Sorry for sounding clueless - it's because I am lol.

I assume you have a HUB 3, based on your previous posts?

When you log into the HUB it never asks for a username so I'm unsure what you are accessing.

Does it look like:

 

Yes it's just like that. 

I want to change the password that you enter on that screen, and that's where it prompts for a user name.

That's fine, no rush.

Very curious as you shouldn't be prompted for a username!
