Rejoined VM need to reopen my Virgin media account

I have recently rejoined virgin media getting broadband. When I have tried to create a my virgin media account I am unable as the email address I joined up with was used with a previous virgin media account. 

please can it be unlocked so I can reactivate my virgin media account access.

Have you tried to register with a different email to see if you're able to register your online account?

Does an error show when you try this? If so, what does the error message say?
