I have paid all of my outstanding debts to yourself a year ago yet they are still showing in my credit file as defaulted. I have emailed credit file amendments numerous times and they have assured me that they have updated the credit reference agencies, yet the default is still showing in my file.

can this be resolved before i contact the financial ombudsman

Sorry to see that a default is showing on your credit file currently.

We don't deal with credit file issues on the Forums as such, however, the general piece of advise I'd offer you is that if you've been issued with a default on your credit file, and this hasn't been classed as being added in error, then this can remain on your credit file for up to six years, despite the fact that payments have been made

It may be worth researching into how you can improve you credit rating so the default has as little impact as possible
