Porting a number to Virgin

Hi,  

I see I am not alone with this particular issue, however I am so frustrated right now and don't know where else to turn.  I was with another mobile provider for many years when last week on a whim I thought I'd try our Virgin Mobile as the service and signal strength around here is supposed to be better.  Having received my new sim card, I called up and activated my PAC code on Monday morning (approximately 52 hours ago) and my mobile number has still not been activated on Virgin. I have called customer services at least 10 times in the intervening period, and all they can do is repeat a script to me saying they have activated a problem log to the technical team.  They can not say how long it will take to fix.  No one can call me back apparently.  No manager is available to talk to me to try and (hopefully) give me more information about what has gone wrong and most importantly when it will be fixed.  I'm just hoping that someone on this site can help me further.
