I have discovered how to get the new sim card to work: My phone said it could not find the virgin media network and did not connect with the new sim card. Left it for well over 10 mins - same thing. Went into settings, then wireless and networks, mobile networks - after some searching a list was produced with VM 3G on it - clicked on that and bingo. Fine BUT the VM instructions never suggested the need for that, just said, 'it will connect in 10 mins or less.'
I'm having the exact same problem but there is no VM to connect to in the list. I've cancelled my account but they have stuck me on pay as you go which I don't want either. If I can get this to work in the month I have left on my contract I will sign up for a new one as I want a new phone. Otherwise I will have to go elsewhere.
