Will compulsory new sim work in my 6 year old Sony Experia which isn't 4G?

Re: New sim problem

Hi MaryWaters,

You will still be able to use the new SIM card, however if your phone isn't 4G compatible then you wouldn't get 4G.

You would get whatever speeds your phone allows, so it could be 2G or 3G.

Does this help?

Thanks Smiley Happy

Re: New sim problem

I have discovered how to get the new sim card to work:  My phone said it could not find the virgin media network and did not connect with the new sim card. Left it for well over 10 mins - same thing. Went into settings, then wireless and networks, mobile networks - after some searching a list was produced with VM 3G on it - clicked on that and bingo. Fine BUT the VM instructions never suggested the need for that, just said, 'it will connect in 10 mins or less.'

Thanks for getting back in touch.

Glad it's all sorted and I appreciate the feedback about the instructions, I'll get this passed on.

Let us know if you need anything else.
