New SIM card not working and picking up Network

Hello,

I recently received a new SIM card from your guys to replace my old one. I have followed the steps and placed the new one in my phone, and it says it should have taken 10minutes or less for it to start working. I received the message saying that my number has been switched to my new virgin mobile SIM card, however, it has been unable to connect to the network and I am having to connect to wifi to get signal. 

Is there anything else I need to do, or is there something possibly wrong with the SIM card?
