Need to Cancel without any luck

Hi, I signed up to your new tariff, 10GB 5000 minutes at £10 per month on 20th April 2019. I now have been told by a person in a Virgin store, the SIM card I received is incompatible with my new, unlocked LGK8 mobile phone. My phone has never worked at all with this SIM card. I've rung the call centre in Manila, Phillipines many many times over the last 3 days to attempt to cancel my contract. The advisor on the receiving end cuts me off every time I mention I would like to cancel. My 14 day cooling off period runs out tomorrow. I've texted Virgin Media who text back they cannot cancel the contract, I must ring the customer services/call centre. The shop in UK say they cannot cancel the contract. I'm at a loss. I really don't want to be paying for a monthly contract when I have a mobile that doesn't work due to the incompatibility issue. Please help.
