Insurance Claim Documents

Hi there,

I had my phone stolen when I was abroad and I'm trying to make a claim through my Travel Insurance but they require certain documents to process the claim.

The documents required are:

1. Proof of purchase

This document needs to include:

Name and address

Make and model of device

IMEI number

Date of purchase

I can find an email with my initial contract agreement but unfortunately it does not include my name or mobile IMEI.

2. Proof of Usage

This document needs to include:

Full itemised bill

Name and address

Make and model of device

IMEI number

Date of first usage

Date of last usage

Date and time of blacklisting

Does anyone know how I can access these documents?

I am sorry to hear your phone was stolen abroad. 

In regards to proof of purchase, if you purchased the handset from us directly, we have some info here on how to obtain this 

Once you have completed the form, send it back to proofofpurchase@virginmedia.co.uk

We'll then email you within 24 hours with your Proof of Purchase, and we'll also send a copy directly to you insurer if you specify. 

In regards to proof of usage, this can be find online via the app or your online account where you can download a copy of your monthly bills.
