Hi,

Does anybody know if the Black Friday Double Data offer is only available to new customers or can existing 3G customers moving to 4G take advantage too?

If you can get the deal how do you sign up as I can't seem to find the option to get double data.

Hi Adrian,

log in to your Virgin Mobile account and select Plan and Device.

If available you should see the option to change your tariff and select a new 4G one.

Selecting a 4G tariff will automatically prompt a SIM replacement.

Remember that the 4G tariff will not go live until your next refresh date.

Alternatively give the Team a call (free on 789 from your mobile) to discuss options available to you.

Thanks for the quick reply, do you know if this tariff change would include the double data promotion?

If it does then it's not clear and I want to be sure before making the change.

Hi Adrian,

the Double Data offer is available until Monday 28th November.

If you wish to change to 4G and take advantage of this offer you must select one of the new 4G tariffs by then.

300MB > 600MB, 1GB > 2GB, 2GB > 4GB.

It looks like it was just a glitch in the site, I tried again later on and was given the correct options, including the double data promotion and have now completed my upgrade order.

Just got the sim only double data offer, you will see the double data deals are a little bit more than just a regular update, ie £8 for 1GB where on the double data offer £9, But to get it I had to phone 789, as i have gone to 4G they had to do a finace check (only been with them for 5 years) but that life, they signed me up in 5 minutes, you cant get double data on line,(I think thats right), it comes in effect at your refresh date. hopwe this helps you only have until the 28th, good luck.

It looks like it was a glitch in the site, I tried again later on and completed the order online. 

My upgrade will go through on the 18th December and I've downgraded from 2gb to 1gb thanks to the double data promotion, so I'm upgrading for £1 less rather than £2 more. 

I've only been with Virgin for about 3 months but I'm glad I moved from my old network.

Hoping this has just answered my question...

I've had a Virgin LG G4 for two years now on a 3G plan and just this sec upgraded to a 4G plan and was hoping to get the black friday deal, but it never said it was the black friday deal on the website as i was clicking to upgrade. I didn't even notice until i had hit the button to send the new sim card. Anyway i opted for the £9 deal, so i'm hoping i get the extra data ?

I've just had a look online and my account say's pending 1GB. It say's nothing about the 4GB i was hoping to get with the data deal. My 4G sim card is due in the post on the 28th of November. BTW my phone is in my wife's name (two phones on her account). She upgraded her phone last month and has the 1GB Virgin 4G data plan.
