removing TV & landline from package, keep broadband & mobile

I would like to remove the TV and landline from my package - and just keep the broadband (and mobile)
the main reason for this is to save money - i just barely use either service

Can i do this and how reduction in price will i gett?

Thanks

Depending on speed broadband alone is about £40 odd a month

Re: removing TV & landline from package, keep broadband & mobile

Hi jocook17,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forums. It's great having you on board with us in the Community.

I'm sorry to hear you're looking at cancelling part of your package. You can do this by speaking to the team on 150 / 0345 454 1111. They will remove the services you no longer want and you can negotiate a new price then.

Please be aware that this would trigger a new contract term.

Let us know how the call goes.

Thanks,

Re: removing TV & landline from package, keep broadband & mobile

if you are still in contract on the tv and landline there could be early termination fees - if not you can just give 30 days notice on each service

you may find removing one or both does not bring the reductions you hope for - tv is a separate service so there may be a cost saving but by removing it you could lose a package discount - you might see a better deal by simply reducing the tv part of the package to the minimum

removing the phone is even more complicated - the line rental of £20 or whatever is usually absorbed in other parts of the package plus [again] it can attract package discounts - so thinking about removing the phone on its own could in fact increase your over all cost

talk to UK retentions - tell them what you want to achiever - a reduced cost and let them work out the best deal

dial 150 or 0345 454 1111 and follow the prompts to - 'thinking of leaving us' - then "technical issues" - dont worry about that they do much more - open 8am -10pm 7 days a week - should take you to a UK call centre

Re: removing TV & landline from package, keep broadband & mobile

So I've been trying to remove TV from my bundle as no longer use.

Every attempt to talk to right department ends up with being told I need to speak to Account Specialists and get put on hold, currently on hold and have been for 40 minutes.

You have an obligation to have a professional discussion with me to adjust my contract, and not just fob me off on hold.

This reply sums up exactly what is wrong with VM support for paying customers!!!

In summary:

Thanks - We can't do anything about it! - Get on with it! - You deal with it!!! Let us know how you manage! No support/help here!

Total waste of time staff being paid by VM to answer/resolve these problems!!!   … ZvnK ...
