my virgin media password

i can’t seem to set up a my virgin media account as no matter what password i give, i am receiving the error message that the password is not valid despite meeting the requirements.

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community. Sorry for the online account creation issue. Can you confirm does this meet the requirements;

  • 8-10 characters
  • Start with a letter
  • Include at least one number
  • No special characters

Have you also tried a different browser as well? This worked for me when I tried the other day.

yes i meet all of the requirements.

im just struggling as need to book an engineer as i don’t have the correct port to plug my broadband into for at home set up

Just to update the thread, the online account was sorted and should be accessible from midday tomorrow. Let me know any issues. 

We've also booked a tech for you for the date agreed, this will also be viewable in the online account - virg.in/myVM - let us know how the visit goes.

There will be no charge for this visit unless:
• The technician diagnoses the faults as not being caused by our network/equipment 
• The technician discovers that the fault or problem relates to your equipment
• The technician discovers that the fault or problem relates to any system that we are not responsible for
The technician will confirm during their visit if any of these instances apply, and if so, a £25 charge will be applied to your account. 
Please ensure there is someone over the age of 18 present at the time of the visit. If you need to change or cancel your appointment you can do this online or via the MyVM app by 4pm the day before the appointment.
If you do miss an agreed appointment for any reason, a £25 missed appointment charge will be applied to your account on the day of the appointment
