These thieving **bleep**s charge me for a service that they know they cant deliver er. After months of arguing they have agreed to waive the early termination charge but wont refund the advance line rental. How can I recover this money. Virgin is without a doubt the worst company that I have ever dealt with. They should be closed down.

IMHO just because something is in the terms and conditions does not automatically make it fair or enforceable, for instance paying Line Rental Saver but then finding the phone service is substandard should not preclude recovery of the upfront charge.
