Trying to get to talk to an actual person rather than just standard emails from the credit control people.
been emailing VM since May 21 about an incorrect default on my credit file from 2016. Told to pay default with no acknowledgment of any error. I repeated I needed it removed from my file and asked them for proof that I had defaulted £42 (which I didn’t) but no response until yesterday.
Now I’m trying to get a mortgage and being rejected because of this default so emailed repeated desperate to resolve this.
heard back and they said they’d REMOVE the default if I paid - so desperate for a mortgage that I paid the ‘ransom’ despite owing them nothing.
now today they are saying that they’ll change the default to satisfied which is NOT the same as a removal. Again, no response to my emails.
I just want this resolved !!
Searching here I can see I’m not the only one!
