Switching Broadband to Tenants

I have recently moved out of my property and will be letting it out in a day or so. I would like to transfer the Virgin Media account to the new tenants. Whats the best route to achieving this?

You can’t transfer responsibility for your account anymore.

You will need to cancel your contract, bearing any cancellation charges, and allow the tenants to contract as new customers.

Of course, you could include the service in the tenancy.

Hello Nak591,

Thanks for your very first post on our Community.

Hope the move goes well.

What @Ernie_C has advised is correct.

We stopped the transfer of services from one to another a while ago.

You will need to close the account giving 30 days notice, then the new tenants can look at signing up with us.

Do I have to pay the penalty for leaving early?

If you are within contract - then yes there would be a cancellation fee.
