Strange Superhub 3 settings portal

Recently my internet has been going on and off, after rebooting the SH3 the main computer my Hub is hardwired to successfully connected to the internet, however I cant get a connection on my phone or laptop due to the SH3 not broadcasting its SSID. I tried to go back into the Hubs settings but I'm now being greeted with this completely new screen and my password wont work.

It's getting late so I'll respond to any questions during the day.

I'd really appreciate anyone's help.

Hmmm, 'Connect Box' and the UPC logo ... that's unusual.  Are you in Ireland by any chance and does your Hub have a Virgin Media logo on it?

Re: Strange Superhub 3 settings portal

The basic out of the box firmware delivered with these hubs is the UPC version. When the latest VM version is downloaded this overlays the UPC version, so under certain circumstances it is possible to see the original startup screen.

I wondered if that might be the case Gordon, so it looks like the hub has lost it's VM identity for some reason.

To the OP, have you tried the password on the base of the hub?

Re: Strange Superhub 3 settings portal

Sorry for the late response, just got back from work. I tried accessing the Hubs portal and for some reason it's back to normal, even the wifi's working. Although I'm happy it's up and running, finding out what caused it would've been helpful in case it happens again.

Yes, mysterious happenings like this are very unsettling ... twilight zone stuff.  Oh well, glad it's back to 'normal' until the next time ....

Re: Strange Superhub 3 settings portal

I think I've entered the twilight zone more than enough with the SH3.

Re: Strange Superhub 3 settings portal

I've seen that a few times. The VirginMedia branding is simply overlayed on top of the UPC branding and in some circumstances may not appear, meaning the UPC logo/background become visible.
