Returning Customer Can't Register for MyVirginMedia

Hi all,

I'm a new customer trying to register for a My Virgin Media account. I input my account number, surname, and area reference when prompted, then I'm asked to enter the email address I used to purchase the service (in this case I have a Broadband only service) - When I enter my email address, the very next page says "Sorry to see you go" and advises that as I've closed my account, I am unable to register to My Virgin Media. I used to be a Virgin customer then moved to an area that VM didn't cover so I've been with someone else for a few years. I'm now back in a VM area and have a VM package so I would like to register for a MyVM account!

Tried explaining this to someone on webchat who said my account would be transferred to my email address in the next few days, that was about a week ago. Anyone got any ideas??

HI rickattfield

The email address that you are using will still be attached to the old account 

I cannot promise it is possible to bring over the new account 

But I can happily take a look 

You can set up an account with an alternative address if that is easier 

I can look into this for you 
If you don't mind, I will need to send you a private message to pass security 
If you can check the purple envelope top right of your screen that would be great
