Relocating overseas and letting house out

Up to speed

I am in a contract with VM that is due to expire in July, and I will be renting my home.

I have some tenants lined up and they asked about broadband speeds, and told them that fibre is not here so if they want Gigabit it will have to be with Virgin.

My question is I will be terminating my contract with Virgin as I will be relocating. If the new tenant wants Virgin I presume they sign up to a new contract in their name. Do I leave the equipment or do virgin expect me to send it back and then send it out for a new install with new engineer?

Gas / Electric and Council tax are much easier to sort!

Hey mda99das,

Welcome to the community and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums.

We would need you to return the equipment that you're currently using, when your account disconnects with us as the equipment will be registered to your account.

The new tenants would also have to start a new contract with us in their name to take out our services.

Kind Regards,
