I am having exactly the same problem.
I rang up and spoke to a woman who said it would be upscale to the IT team and I’d hear something when it was sorted but that was about a week ago.
can this be sorted some other way?

I'm sorry that your verification email link isn't working and that we haven't yet got back to you with an update from our IT support team.
I have tried to jumpstart the process and sent a new verification email, please can you try to use this link on the new email and let me know how it goes.
