I cannot login to my My virgin media account. Once I entered email address and password, it throws below error message:

Oops, looks like something's gone wrong on our side.
Please try again

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Same here. Virgin's error messages are so unhelpfu. Keep trying for ever?

Looks like it's a common problem - get the same when trying to log in.  Also other posts on this forum:

https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Managing-Your-Account-Cable/unable-to-log-into-my-virgin-media-...

Also the suggestion in the linked thread to "refresh" doesn't work, nor does clearing cookies or the cache.

Update - As of 10:30 it seems to be fixed for me.  There's a notice on service status saying fix expected by 00:50 13/5/22:

"We hope to fix this by 13 May at 00:50

We've found an issue and we've let our technicians know.

You might have trouble signing in to MyVM at the moment. We are sorry about this, our engineers are looking at fixing this as soon as possible."

Hi jyotipaikaray,

Thanks for posting, and welcome to our community 🙂

I'm sorry to hear you've had some issue signing into your online account

Can you confirm if there are any issues showing on our service status page as paul0363 has suggested?

Can you also confirm if you've tested this via the app and online?

Alex_Rm

Hi Alex_Rm,

Service status shows OK. I checked using Edge.

Now nothing works from Chrome now, it shows below error message:

Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.

I have tested using online.

Hi @jyotipaikaray thanks for your reply although I'm sorry you're still having issues with this.

Can you please try in Incognito/Private mode in any browser to see if this works for you?

Many thanks

Tom_W

Thank you Tom_W!

It does work in Incognito mode. Still it does not work in normal chrome.

Hey  jyotipaikaray, thank for you the update and getting back to me.

When you are trying to access it on Chrome, please can you make sure pop ups aren't blocked.

Also Might be an idea to clear your VM cookies in Chrome and try again? Please let me know what happens. Thanks
