Re: Not Received Refer A Friend Credit

Hi lim1,

Thanks for your post and apologies to hear that you've not received your refer a friend credit Smiley Sad

There is a specific process in place for referring customers. The existing account holder needs to pop in their friend's details via this page here: Refer A Friend This then generates an email to both the existing and new customer confirming the referral. The Friend then needs to join via that email. Unless this is followed, no link is made between the 2 accounts.

Have you still got the email showing the referral? If not check with the person who referred you. If they have this we can look into this further for you.

I have sent you a private message with some information on where to go from here. Just click on the little plum envelope at the top right hand side of the page to access your inbox.

Thanks,

Re: Not Received Refer A Friend Credit

Hi warrendenman,

Thanks for your post and apologies to hear that you've not received your refer a friend credit either Smiley Sad

The correct process for referring customers is as follow: The existing account holder needs to pop in their friend's details via this page here: Refer A Friend This then generates an email to both the existing and new customer confirming the referral. The Friend then needs to join via that email. Unless this is followed, no link is made between the 2 accounts.

Re: Not Received Refer A Friend Credit

send the email from your virgin account  to your friend email

your friend clicks on the email gets taken to virgin site to get what ever there want

once done and its all setup

wait till the bill is near ready

phone up virgin tell them you refer a friend give account proof off email sent to them

next step

get your friend to phone them for the credit

there give account number and send proof off email

then you get your credit

nice that you have to virgin job

xmas p45 should be handed out

Re: Not Received Refer A Friend Credit

Hi,

Same problem here as well. I have recieved a mail from a friend, used that link for registration. The first e-mail shows the 50 pounds refer friend has been added, the rest of the e-mails don't mention anything about this. Couple of days ago I recieved my first bill and of course without the discount. How could I get it sorted if I have that first e-mail?

Thanks,
David

Re: Not Received Refer A Friend Credit

Reading this 18-month-old thread makes me wonder what on earth is going on !!!

I referred my dad to Virgin Media and I do not take referrals lightly - at the end of the day it's my reputation on the line if I refer something that is below standard!!

I went through the process just as the engineer instructed - sent a text with all the details required and my dad was then contacted by Virgin.

Luckily, however, he spotted that there was no mention of payment of £50 credit for the referral when he was about to sign the contract. When he asked the phone representative why this is the case, the VM representative on the phone argued with him (I myself have been a victim of this kind of behaviour when I've spoken to their Indian call centre!), saying it's too late to get the £50 and that it wasn't going to happen!

My dad decided to back out of the deal and has stayed with his previous broadband provider.

That's one potential customer lost, £50 I didn't get and it's left my dad wondering why I recommended these cowboys to him in the first place! Definitely not staying with Virgin once the 12 months are up!

I've been a Virgin Media customer before and left due to poor customer service. Decided to give them a second chance! Clearly that was a mistake on my part!!
