Re: Noisy, loose manhole cover outside house

Ha! Would you be able to send on their response or a contact to discuss?

I spoke on the phone to an OpenReach engineer who had opened the cover and while looking at the cables said they were Virgin's!?

Re: Noisy, loose manhole cover outside house

We're unable to provide you the details to discuss it with them as they're a non-customer facing department.

The team have determined that the chamber doesn't belong to us, there may be Virgin Media cables in there, however in some instances we do use chambers that either belong to the council or other companies.

Have you spoken to the council about this at all? As they would likely have records of all chambers, particularly those owned by the council.

Thanks,

Tom_S

Hey Virgin Media team,

I've spoken with the council and they've confirmed it is, indeed, your manhole cover. Please see attached email from Camden Council streetworks team.

Are you able to let your team know so they can potentially prioritise this project?

Re: Noisy, loose manhole cover outside house

Thanks for the letter winged_2001.

I have passed this onto the team to look into and hopefully the team can get this looked into as quickly as possible.

Thanks

Re: Noisy, loose manhole cover outside house

Thanks Steven, much appreciated... it's dragged on for quite some time.

Would you be able to let me know why your team reported it wasn't Virgin's? Conscious this will happen to other users too.

Re: Noisy, loose manhole cover outside house

Hey winged_2001,

I will send you an update as soon as I get one from the team, I've asked that question to the team to as to why we didn't recognise or acknowledge that the grid was one of ours and will let you know when I get an update.

Thanks

Re: Noisy, loose manhole cover outside house

Thanks Steve. Sorry for chasing, just struggling to understand why it's taking so long to approve a repair? The cover is really loose and super loud, it's keeping us up and night and has been for quite some time.

Re: Noisy, loose manhole cover outside house

Hi winged_2001,

I'm really sorry to say there aren't any updates at the moment, however, Steven_L is back in at the weekend so I will make sure he gets in touch with you about this.

Thanks
