Moving abroad

Hi.

I'm moving abroad on 1st of August. I have done my call with cancellation around 3 weeks ago, I think 1st of July.

I have never received any email about confirmation and leaving date, also haven't received return pack yet even when I was asking for because I'm moving abroad and can't return HUB later.

I have even ordered twice the return kit but never received any. It's only 2 weeks let and I still don't know if my account will be close and I need return kit ASAP. Anyway call to virginmedia is horrible and don't want to spend few hours again to ask for an email about confirmation and return kit.

Best of luck on your move abroad. Sorry to see you are having issues with the returns kit.

The returns pouches aren't usually sent out until around 10 days after the account has been closed.

VM don't send out confirmation emails regarding account closures, however a member of the Forum Team may be able to pick that up for you via PM once you have passed validation.

Which kit do you have, as not all kit needs returning? You can check on  <<< this link >>> 

You say you've ordered the kit twice. Did you try using the online form? /request-returns-pack 

That page also allows you to have the packaging sent to a friend or relative if you have someone that return the equipment for you.

So if VM don't send any confirmation about my leaving how I will know that It will be done on a date I want or what about finally bill. I can't pay any bills after my  moving and don't want them to charge me for not returned HUB 3. And really I don"t have anyone here that I can leave it and someone will send it for me.

Hi again tomaszpasiak,

Hopefully this will shed some light on how the final billing works.

When you cancel by  giving the 30 days notice period your are billed up until the date of disconnection. In this time if another bill has been produced before your disconnection date it will show that your are going to be charged for the month going forward. 

Once your disconnection goes through any advance charges on your account will be refunded back to you and you will receive a final revised bill with the correct amount owed.

If you are left with any credits on your account after the disconnection of your services you will be sent a cheque refund 45 days after disconnection.

You will need to make sure VM have your new address to send any refund to.

If you have online billing then once the final bill is produced it should show in your account.

Thanks. Will they send that cheque abroad?

Hi tomaszpasiak, refund cheque's can only be sent to a UK address address I'm afraid. If you need us to change the forwarding address just let us know.
